01 · Mandate
Recruitment
Comprehensive mandate placement across all disciplines, worked from appointment signal to the close of the 90-day window.
The position
Between early-stage scale and enterprise expansion, technical and commercial leadership positions are held by the person who built them or a predecessor whose mandate has expired. A small share of those searches are active in a formal process at any moment. The rest are unannounced and awaiting alignment.
An organization that does not have an active search open today is frequently eighteen to thirty-six months from needing structural reinforcement, and the trigger sits outside the immediate roadmap. Those requirements are invisible from a standard board scan and obvious in a conversation held before they materialize.
How it runs
The thesis is defined with the firm: domain expertise, seniority, geography, and the exact cultural and technical shape of a leader that fits. We build the named universe against it and work the whole of it, continuously, rather than the part that happens to be advertised in market.
Contact is made in our name and at a level the executive will take a second meeting at. Coverage is maintained through the quarters when there is nothing to transact, which is the part of this work that does not survive being run in-house against a deployment clock.
What it holds
A standing position with leaders who have not decided anything yet, and placements that arrive before an agency process is announced. Terms and alignment are set in conversation rather than on a standard rate card, and it is the approach with the most leverage over the outcome.
The mandate is exclusive. We hold one firm per thesis for as long as it runs.
